Velux Cabrio Balcony & Roof Terrace Systems Guide

Take a Look into the Different Loft Conversion Balcony Options For Your Home

Now the Summers here, why not let more sunshine in to your home with the innovative Cabrio Balcony System or Roof Terrace System. Convert your loft and stand out from the crowd and gain those spectacular views that you desire.

Velux Cabrio Balcony System

Create the WOW factor in your home by opening up your room and adding value to your property. The beauty of the Cabrio Balcony System is that from an external aspect it looks like a typical Velux roof light window when closed, but within seconds it turns into a balcony bringing in the outdoors inside like in the picture below.

The top hung roof windows are installed to the upper section which open outwards, they rotate 180 degrees which are ideal for easy cleaning. The floor to ceiling windows are designed with safety glass to the lower sections which unfold within seconds into a glazed balcony with side railings.

The balcony systems can also be used as an emergency exit and there are also a range of Velux blinds available for this system.

Roof Terrace System

If the Velux Cabrio Balcony is not for you and you desire more daylight, fresh air and space then why not have a Velux Roof Terrace fitted.

The balcony is built directly into the lowest part of your roof, so no compromises with your internal space. With the roof terrace is helps you make the most of your unused roof space, this solution offers direct access to the outside in a style of its own.  The roof terrace itself offers a bright, large and open living area; it offers a doorway to the outside helping to extend the space in your room and is perfect for that ‘alfresco dining’ for that ‘Mediterranean feel.

The features of this product are a sophisticated design that offers great views with the maximum daylight that you can  achieve from the Velux windows. The lower windows of this product can open either to the left or to the right which ever you decide. They can also be used as a fire exit, and just like the Cabrio System they rotate 180 degrees for easy cleaning.

You will be required to apply to your Local Planning Department for Planning Permission for both the Velux Cabrio Balcony System and the Roof Terrace System. The Planning process can take between six to eight weeks for you to gain your Planning Approval, however the wait is worth it in order to gain that unique feature within your home and to boost your properties value.
