Completed Dormer Loft Conversion In Birmingham, Creating a Stunning New Bedroom And En-Suite Bathroom
This is Buckley’s latest completed job a Dormer Loft Conversion with Velux Roof Lights has been constructed in Birmingham, West Midlands.
This conversion has added a new spacious light room by incorporating a rear dormer window with French doors & velux roof lights to the front and rear of the property. It has also had a set of bespoke stairs constructed to keep in character with the original house and stair parts. The dormer has given our clients the extra room needed and flooded light into the room, making it more spacious and bright to create their dream bedroom. Below are some photographs of the completed Loft Conversion.
Velux roof light windows are great features within a loft space, flooding the room with lots of natural light. The roof light in the picture below is situated in the en-suite to give our clients lots of light.
The dormer created at the rear of the house has given the clients the correct head room for their new landing and bespoke staircase while also adding more natural light to their loft conversion.
Our client did not need planning permission for the loft conversion as it fell under the properties “Permitted Development” rights. The majority of Loft Conversions built today constitute as ‘Permitted Development’, this is great news for the householders, as this means that they do not have to gain Planning Permission for their proposed extension as long as it falls within the Permitted Development Criteria. Visit the Planning Portal for more information.
