Last week we started a rear dormer loft conversion in Swarthmore Road, Birmingham, as shown below. This loft conversion will create a bedroom and en-suite.
This property is in Bournville Village Trust Area (BVT) so BVT consent was required before work could commence, but the proposed loft did not need Planning Permission as it come under the property’s ‘Permitted Development Rights’.
Once the loft conversion has been completed and the scaffold has been taken down, we will start the rear ground floor extension in the New Year.
The proposed extension required Planning Permission from Birmingham City Council and Bournville Village Trust Consent which has all been approved now so we can’t wait to get building after months of waiting for approvals.
So more to follow in the New Year………………..
