Q. How Much Does a Loft Conversion Cost?
A. This is dependent on various factors, which include individual specification, area of roof space to be converted and the roof structure. We are experts at utilizing space to suit clients needs and budget.
Q. What is the best type of loft conversion to have?
A. This is dependent on your needs, roof height and budget. A Dormer Loft Converion creates a flat roof, additional height and space to the room. A Velux loft conversion is the installation of Velux Roof lights which can create a light and spacious room for high roofs.
Q. How much value would a loft conversion add to my home?

Q. Can my loft be converted?
A. Apart from a minimum hight requirement of 2.3 meters,( floor to ridge) and no restraints on the property, most lofts can be converted.
Q. How long does a loft conversion take?
A. Timescale depends on the size of the construction. On average the majority of the build will be completed in approximately 8-12 weeks.
Q. Will building regulations be required?
A. All major building work requires Building Regulations. This ensures the construction is safe and suitable for purpose.
Q. Will planning be needed?
A. Planning is not always required but as a company we will ask local authority for clarification
Q. Is there disruption during the build / do we have to move out?
A. Clients do not have to move out. Approximately 80% of the build is completed from outside without construction personnel entering the property until the stairs are installed.
Q. Do I have to get drawings provided or permissions in place?
A. Buckley Loft Conversions provide a free Quote and design scheme. Architectural drawings and calculations included in the overall construction cost
Q. What’s the timescale from order is placed?
A. Most projects from placing an order to materials on site is approximately 10-14 weeks. If planning application is requires this could extend a further 6-8 weeks.
