Buckley Loft Conversions management joined Sandwell Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing, Councillor Simon Hackett and Riverside Assistant Director of Operations, Paul Jones to the official unveiling of the two bedroom and bathroom loft conversion.
Pilot Conversion Scheme
This is a first in a pilot scheme commissioned by housing provider Riverside and Sandwell Council. Councillor Hackett said that he had been “delighted” to see the successful work which was completed by Buckley Loft Conversions at Wolseley Road, Harvills Hawthorn Estate.
Councillor Hackett said: “I asked for this pilot scheme because I strongly believe that a loft conversion can allow overcrowded families to stay in their homes. Overcrowding and under occupancy in Sandwell is a major issue and a loft conversion could help to alleviate some of the problems.”
Happy Families
The families concerned are very, very happy with their new rooms providing much needed additional living space for the family to enjoy.

Paul Jones, Riverside Assistant Director of Operations, said: “We are pleased with the results of the conversion and are continuing to work closely with the council to look at increasing the capacity of other properties in the coming months.”
Paul added: “Being able to provide the additional two bedrooms will bring much-needed space for the tenant and her five children, without having the disruption of moving them to another property.”
